The Flying Angel
Flight after flight
A new city every week
Crossing lands and sea
Blond and intelligent
Might and soul so strong
The Aura around you so pure
Eight years since our encounter
Learning we were
How Pavlov made the dogs dance to his tune
Altering cognition, thoughts and behavior
You in your world
Me in mine
Yet we mingled and dined
From time to time
Sharing thoughts and plans
Years went by
We’d share song and prayer
I prepared you Indian
You let me drive the X5 in the yard
A sister from another mother you aren’t
For as a friend you’ve been dear and true
In moments when I had not my strength
Confined to a bed
You lit up my corner with preciousness
Books and yarn
Needle and gown
You thought of everything that’d make me feel at home
Now you’ve grown
And far you travel
Yet I’m fortunate to share our bond
The dreams you dream
And longings you yearn for
May they all be yours
In divine perfect time
