Destiny takes me further than I'd imagine

 

Maybe it’s coz I’m nearing 40 

Absolutely grateful 

How the cares are washed away!

Moments when I witness 

To just let be 

Enter the river 

It's really happening!

The strangest feeling of serenity 

To feel numb in the limbs 

To feel nothing and perfect calm 

In that quietness 

In the cold 

Heaven around me 

Neoprene that provided magical warmth 

Feet a bit wet 

Takes forever to put on the socks 

A rookie mistake to pack tight cotton!

And then the shoes 

Seems almost impossible 

Leave them unlaced 

The feet and fingers just wouldn’t work 

Stiffness increases 

And it’s a bit funny 

Coz it doesn’t feel cold 

until later you're shiverin 

And all around 

There is kindness and patience 

Heaven is around me 

Doesn’t matter to be slow 

Matters only to know 

All is calm 

All is bright 

Like the silent night
